WORK POLICY CHANGE FOR 2ND SEMESTER
Please be aware that late work will NOT be accepted for credit 2nd Semester. All work is expected to be completed ON TIME. All missing work will be recorded as ZERO grades. The exceptions are for absentee work and major projects.

ABSENTEE WORK
Students are required to make up homework missed due to an absence in a timely manner, usually within 2 days of the absence. Students are required to make up any assessments [tests, quizzes, etc.) missed due to an absence within one week of the absence. This will need to be done at tutorial or during lunch. It is the STUDENT'S responsibility to take care of this. Any assessments not made up within one week will be recorded as a "0" in the gradebook!
MATH "WORK"
Students are reminded that they are REQUIRED to show the steps to any math problems assigned. Students are to fold their paper into 8 rectangles, using one rectangle for each problem. Students who do not follow this direction will receive only 1/2 credit for the assignment] This does not necessarily mean computation, but rather the process by which they went about solving the problem. Students are given examples of what their work should look like as a part of each math lesson--students should ALWAYS have their MATH NOTES out when doing Math Homework!
COPE @ OFFICE DEPOT
If you are shopping at Office Depot in Redlands, please mention Cope Middle School when you are checking out at the register. Cope will receive 5% of all purchases! Last year RHS received over $5000. With budgets so tight this year, a great outcome from Office Depot would be great!
